The project comprised conversion of a disused building in the busy High Street in Harwich, enhancing the street frontage and providing a new shop front, ramped access for levelled access throughout the building, mezzanine floor extension and replacement of roof finishes.
"Useful resource for the local community in prime position"
Planning permission was awarded by Tendring District Council relatively quickly. Tendring Community Voluntary Services felt that Inkpen Downie had interpreted the design to meet and exceed their brief in a short amount of time. Due to funding schedules, time was of the utmost importance to get the project moving as fast as possible.
