Reusing an existing building to form an indoor market to benefit local start up businesses

The proposal is to apply for a change of use in order to create an indoor market with 10no. 1 and 2 bedroom flats for social rent above in Dovercourt, Harwich. The existing Kingsway building is currently vacant having previously been used as an arcade and bingo hall.

The market will provide 22 stalls and a cafe.

The proposed works will commercially help the town by providing a start up facility to support small start up local businesses, to help retain business within the town as part of regeneration strategy.
