Shern Hall Methodist Church
This project required Inkpen Downie to design a contemporary extension for a 1970’s church building on a constrained site obtaining planning permission. The finished extension provides flexible and accessible spaces that cater for a wide range of activities.
High level windows provide good day lighting, natural ventilation and reduce noise from the main road.
The extension has a separate entrance to improve letting capability and low surface temperature radiators, which make the hall suitable for children.
