Gorse Hill Parish Centre
The new parish centre at Gorse Hill, Swindon includes a café, a shop and other facilities to attract a wider community. A new suite of six rooms in a flexible layout enables the church to make full use of its new facilities around the clock. The main assembly hall has also been designed by Inkpen Downie with the future in mind by ensuring the structure is strong enough to put an extra floor in a first floor level at a later date.
The existing church building had a significant problem of access, so a new shared entrance marks the point where the old meets the new.
