his mobile information centre, designed by Inkpen Downie for Connexions, allows Havering Youth Services to work with young people where they are, on the street, and at outdoor events, concerts and gatherings.
The bus has a meeting space, video screen and computer terminals with full internet access. A built-in generator powers the equipment, a small kitchen provides refreshments and an outdoor awning extends the space in good weather.
Connexions is an innovative new government funded youth project providing advice, guidance, support and personal development help for young people.
The project works with a range of agencies, helping them change the way they provide their services, aiming to involve young people as participants rather than recipients of youth services, and putting their needs first.
