  Inkpen Downie Architecture & Design Ltd are always looking for talented, creative architectural  and design staff .

  • We generally employ people on a permanent basis, rather than contract. We like people to grow whilst they are with us, whether they are very experienced or simply have potential and need our encouragement.
  • We are an entirely Mac based office ­ see our section on computers. Applicants should have some experience with CAD. We use Vectorworks, although the type of CAD software is not usually an issue.
  • We aim to make working at Inkpen Downie an enjoyable, rewarding and low stress experience. To this end we do not subscribe to the long working hours culture of much of the profession. We also operate a flexible hours policy.
  • It is our intention that everyone who works with us makes full use of their potential and we therefore encourage employees to train in new areas. We all participate in a co-ordinated CPD plan. We are currently running in-house 3D CAD seminars and employees are actively encouraged to seek out useful external sources of CPD. We have an active environmental policy.
